Trip & Itinerary
From Athens it is about an hour and a half drive to your apartment with us at Archaia Epidavros. At Corinth, from the highway (the A8), take exit 10 towards Epidavros. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left. Coming from the direction of Patras, also take exit 8 and turn right at the end of the exit.
You then follow the provincial road for about 55 kilometers. You will pass several villages/towns and the road meanders somewhat through the beautiful mountain area along the coast.
After about 50km, you first pass the village of Nea Epidavros. You then follow the road for a few more kilometers and at some point you will see restaurant STORK on the left side of the road with panoramic views of our village. Here is a left turn to get into the center of Archaia Epidavros. Do NOT take this exit.
You pass Stork and after 2 km there is the exit Archaia Epidavros. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left and drive under the overpass. After about 150 meters you will approach a traffic circle. Here, go straight ahead.
After 20 meters you will see on the right just before a closed tavern, a narrow mountain road uphill to the right. Enter this road and drive all the way up. The road is steep and often it is wise to turn off the air conditioning for a while so that you have enough engine power to drive slowly uphill.
Orange Apartments’ signs along this mountain road will point you in the right direction at the 2 junctions. After 400 meters you will be at the top of the parking lot.
After you unpack and park your car, we will be happy to welcome you with a fresh Greek delicacy.

Beach & Sea
The beaches of Epidavros
Visit the five beaches of Epidavros. The sunbeds are free to use!
The first beach is to the left of the church of Epidavros and is called Vagonia beach. There is very little shade on this beach. There is a changing room, though.
Climbing on foot over the rocks to the left of the beach, one arrives at Kalamaki beach. The beach is very quiet and the water there is also very beautiful. However, there are no facilities.
The third beach is the beach on the Nisi. This is a peninsula located at the transition between the two bays. It is very suitable for swimming with children, as the beach slopes gradually into the sea.
Then there is the beach where you can snorkel to see the remains of the sunken city. One can walk the walls and see the remains of the jars used to store oil and wine. There are free sunbeds. You can also eat delicious fish here for a reasonable price.
The fifth beach is the beach at Galasi. This beach is near the campsites and is very crowded in summer. Here too are free sunbeds and you can have a drink.
